DG3 Europe achieves Silver Status for London Mayor’s Green Procurement Code

London, England, April 1, 2011: DG3 are proud to have been awarded Silver status in the latest audit of the London MayorÍs Green Procurement Code.

At DG3 we recognize that business leadership carries a responsibility to the environment so as part of our commitment to being greener we have been working with the LRS Consultancy, who runs The MayorÍs Green Procurement Code to reduce our impact on the environment through responsible purchasing.

The Mayor of London’s Green Procurement Code is a support service that is designed to encourage organizations in the Capital to reduce their impact on the environment and to become more resource efficient. It is one of the measures in place designed to help the Mayor of London achieve his target of cutting the capitalÍs carbon emissions by 60% by 2025.

DG3 has been able to achieve Silver status through already utilizing the environmental policies that have been in place since achieving ISO 14001 in Environmental Management back in 2007. Part of these policies include converting our clients to use ecological FSC or PEFC certified paper for their publications and procuring more ecologically friendly materials and chemicals for all departments of the business.
