Mail and Variable Data Processing Specialist

Summary

The individual will work in the rapidly growing data management team to handle the processing of mail and VDP projects daily. This is a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of critical data sensitive projects for DG3 clients.

Accountabilities

  • Receive jobs into Data Management Group
    • Enter job into DMS job log.
    • Review requirements of job as pertains to mail and VDP processing.
    • Ensure that all mailing requirements are gathered.
    • Ensure that all VDP requirements are gathered.
    • Ensure that client supplied data files meet DMS standards and are compatible with the mailing and VDP requirements of the job.
    • Communicate with production coordinators as required.
  • Process jobs within the DG3 mail services and variable data processing platforms
  • Deliver jobs from DMS
    • QC jobs to ensure that the requirements have been satisfied using QA processes currently in place.
    • Communicate with production coordinators as required.

Supervisory/Leadership Responsibilities

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of graphic arts and VDP digital printing methods and processes.
  • The ability to understand data driven processes and how they relate to variable data print
  • Understanding of USPS mailing procedures
  • Basic understanding and use of MS Office applications including and especially MS Excel.

Education and Experience

  • 1-5 years of experience mail processing and web 2 print processing systems
  • Prior work in Satori mail suite or similar mail processing system a MAJOR plus
  • Prior work in PageFlex or similar web to print platform a MAJOR plus

Work Environment

The job is primarily performed in an office environment. The environment can be stressful at time with deadline pressure to complete multiple priorities. Some travel to client locations required, primarily in New York Metro area.
