Summary

Are you looking to build a career in the dynamic world of commercial print and digital communications? DG3 is seeking a Junior Production Coordinator to serve as the vital link between our Sales team, our clients, and our manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will function as the "Customer’s Representative" within the plant, ensuring that job specifications are accurately translated into production tickets. This is an ideal role for a meticulous professional with 3-5 years of experience who is willing to learn the intricacies of the printing business with an interest in a future Sales or Leadership role within DG3.

Accountabilities

  • Project Support: Assist in pre-production planning for complex projects requiring multi-departmental input.
  • Job Entry & Accuracy: Write complete and accurate job tickets to ensure manufacturing has all the technical details needed for success.
  • Workflow Oversight: Coordinate daily with Sales, Estimating, and Manufacturing to ensure jobs stay on budget and meet client expectations.
  • Client Advocacy: Function as a point of contact for clients, managing inventory spreadsheets and resolving delivery/production conflicts with a professional attitude.
  • Financial Diligence: Review billing to capture missed charges (Author Alterations, expedited fees) and ensure cost recoveries are recorded.
  • Quality Control: Participate in quality objectives and lead meetings with supervisors to discuss technical details for incoming jobs.

Supervisory/Leadership Responsibilities

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience: 3-5 years within print production or client services, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial print, digital print, and/or mailing services.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Knowledge of Monarch MIS is a strong plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for interacting with both plant staff and high-profile clients.
  • Drive: An organized, meticulous initiative-taker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Work Environment

  • Setting: Primarily an office environment within our Jersey City facility.
  • Physical Conditions: Regular collaboration within our manufacturing areas (which may be noisy or temperature-variable).
  • Pace: High-stress environment with frequent deadline pressures and competing priorities.
