From Clean Power to Clean Air: How DG3 Is Raising the Bar on Environmental Responsibility

In our last blog, we shared how DG3 powers its North American operations with 100% Green-E certified wind energy. That commitment to clean power isn’t a one-off—it’s part of a bigger philosophy: everything we do should leave as small an environmental footprint as possible.

Let’s be honest: air permits and emission controls aren’t exactly the stuff of cocktail party conversations.

Even in our own industry, they rarely get the spotlight. But maybe they should. Because when you take a moment to think about what it means to control the air coming out of an industrial facility, you realize it’s not just technical—it’s meaningful. It’s about responsibility, community, and doing the right thing when no one’s watching.

So today, we’re talking about clean air out—and how we keep it that way.

The Air You Don’t See

Commercial printing can release volatile organic compounds (VOCs)—airborne chemicals that don’t just vanish into thin air. Left untreated, they contribute to smog, poor air quality, and environmental harm.

That’s why DG3 has invested in oxidizing filtration systems—specialized equipment that literally burns off harmful pollutants at high temperatures, converting them into nothing more than water vapor and carbon dioxide. The result? Clean, invisible air that leaves our facility as quietly and harmlessly as it entered.

Yes, We’re Permitted. And That Matters.

DG3 holds a Title V Operating Permit from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). It’s not a formality—it’s a comprehensive, enforceable plan that:

  • Tracks and limits emissions
  • Requires constant reporting and third-party oversight
  • Ensures we meet or exceed some of the strictest air quality standards in the country

In short, it’s accountability—codified.

So Why Should You Care?

Because when companies don’t do this right, everyone pays the price. The air gets worse. The health risks climb. The trust erodes.

And when companies do get it right? Like DG3 does? It means you can work with a partner who’s thinking not just about production, but about impact. A partner who takes invisible responsibilities seriously. A partner who doesn’t cut corners—because even if no one notices, we notice.

Not Just Clean Design. Clean Conscience.

We’ll continue to lead on sustainability—not because it’s easy or flashy, but because it’s right. From wind-powered presses to filtration-backed permits, we’re creating a production environment that respects the world around it.

And now that you’ve thought about it—really thought about it—you probably get why it matters too.
